Our favourite event of the year is coming soon! You will find the author of The Ironbridge Ogre at The Ironbridge Book Shop with the REAL LIFE OGRE himself! This year is going to be fabulous! We have some great activities and treats for the children. Make sure you visit us and enjoy the festivities! We can’t wait!

• There will be live music, stalls and activities, choir and Carol singing!

• Shops will be open for late night shopping along with the restaurants, as usual if you fancy a bite to eat.

• Santa will be arriving in his Grotto from 6pm.

• Come and join in the festivities with music, stalls, mulled wine and fireworks.

• Fireworks and light switch on is planned for 7pm.

From 4.30pm to 8.30pm the Wharfage will be closed to traffic into Ironbridge from the roundabout at the bottom of Madeley Bank to the Museum of the Gorge car park.

We are holding a very exciting event at Beatons Tearooms & Bookshop in Wellington this half term!. Children will be able to hear a special book reading by the author as well as meeting the real life Ogre!

**Plus FREE drink and CAKE for kids when an accompanying adult purchases an item from the Beatons menu! (Only between 2-4pm)

Books will be on sale on the day and book signing will also be available. The author would love to answer any questions people may have about the story. The character models and drawings will also be on display giving the opportunity to see how the characters are made and to view the original artwork from the book.

Wellington library will be holding a ‘meet the authors’ event as part of their Autumn festival. The author will be there signing books and showcasing the character models and drawings. Be sure to head down if you are in the area! We would love to tell people more about the story…

From September 14-29, Ironbridge will be fully animated with a fantastic fiesta of arts, crafts, culture, virtual reality, music, film, poetry, family-friendly events and food and drink to celebrate this year's World Heritage Site Festival.

The author of The Ironbridge Ogre will be there with the real life Ogre himself! Come along to the Festival Hub area to find us. Enjoy book readings/signings and insights into the creation of the book…

The illustrator of the Wrekin Giant and the Ironbridge Ogre will be attending the Sunnycroft summer children’s events in August.

We will be holding drawing sessions on both the 10th and the 18th August as well as a book reading and discussion.

The Ironbridge Ogre is so excited about this years Balloon Fiesta he just has to come and see it for himself!

We will be attending the Balloon Fiesta event at Telford Town Park on the 12th May only. We will be showcasing the models from the story, as well as the drawings. Enjoy book readings and also the chance to meet the real life Ogre!

Wellington library will be holding a ‘meet the authors’ event as part of the Wellington Arts Spring festival. The author will be there signing books and showcasing the character models and drawings. Be sure to head down if you are in the area! We would love to tell people more about the story…

We are delighted to be attending this years Spring into St.Georges Day event at Telford Town Park! We will be joining the fabulous parade with the Ironbridge Ogre himself!

We are holding a very exciting event at The Buckatree Hall Hotel on Easter Sunday. Children will be able to hear a special book reading by the author as well as meeting the real life Ogre, who will be giving out some fabulous easter treats! There will also be a raffle to win an Easter prize and a colouring in competition for the chance to win a signed limited edition Ironbridge Ogre book!
